Istind collects nothing.

Not a reduced amount. Nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no server for the app to talk to.

No data is collected, and none is shared. Istind has no backend. The app makes no network requests of any kind, so there is nothing to transmit, sell, or lose in a breach.

On deviceWhat the app stores

Everything the app remembers is written inside its own sandbox on your iPhone, where no other app can read it:

Your game history — which puzzles you have completed, how long they took, and whether you used the coach. This is what the statistics screen reads.

Your current game — so you can put the phone down mid puzzle and pick it up later.

Your settings — appearance, haptics, sound, and whether you have started your first board.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else and no way for anyone, including the developer, to recover it.

Generated locallyWhere puzzles come from

Puzzles are not downloaded. They are generated on your device by a solver that also grades each board by which solving techniques it requires, and every puzzle is verified to have exactly one solution before you see it. This is why the app works with no signal at all.

Apple's own data

If you download Istind from the App Store, Apple records that download under its own privacy policy, and the developer sees only anonymous aggregate counts — how many downloads in which countries. That is standard for every app on the store and is not something Istind can turn off or add to. No individual can be identified in it.

Children

Because nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children either.
